Born in 1968 in the Bronx, NY, Michael Vasquez is a single African American Puerto Rican – who has used the registered alias of Michael Vass since the 1990′s. The oldest in a family of 6 children, Mr.Vass went to high school at Evander Childs HS and then attended Rutgers University. While at the university he joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. While at the college he studied Philosophy, English and Chemistry and created a short-lived import/export company; upon leaving Rutgers, Mr. Vass went to Russia where he was a director for an international import/export company.
During the time in Russia, Mr. Vass lived in Moscow and Tsblissi as well as experiencing the attempted coup and the civil war in each city respectively. Upon returning to the U.S. Mr. Vass went to Los Angeles to join a start-up theatrical production company and experienced the L.A. riots as well as the Northridge Earthquake.
Michael, a motorcycle enthusiast, was injured by a hit-and-run driver and returned to NYC. At this time he pursued a career in the U.S. securities markets. Mr. Vass enjoyed a nearly decade long career as a successful securities account executive (stockbroker), never receiving a complaint nor lawsuit, before co-creating an investor relations company that continues to grow successfully today.
In addition to the work in investor relations, Michael has explored the growing field of weblogs. This lead to the creation, management and improvement of over 100 weblogs and websites. This knowledge has been sharpened over years of actual hands on experience.
The culmination of this experience has been the creation of Black Entertainment USA in December 2005 and Vass in November of 2005 in addition to the opening of M V Consulting, Inc. in August of 2006.
Mr. Vass continues to expand his businesses, incorporating all of his experiences and knowledge as well as personal opinions in each venture.
In April 2013, Michael “Vass” Vasquez announced the creation of a exploratory committee to seek the NY 22nd Congressional seat on the Republican ticket. November 18, 2013 Mr. Vasquez announced his official entry as a candidate for that elected office. On April 2, 2014, Mr. Vasquez withdrew from the Republican race for the congressional seat and endorsed Assemblywoman Claudia Tenney.

Mr. Vasquez became a Republican Committeeman for the 18th Election District of Binghamton, NY in 2015.
On August 13, 2018, Mr. Vasquez was one of a handful of news media (and the only non-network, independent news media) selected and approved for White House Press Pool Credentials to cover the arrival of President Donald Trump in Utica, NY.
